MASSERIA TORRE COCCARO
Picture a destination wedding near to a coastal location with olive groves and white buildings. Most people think of weddings in Greece or Spain however one location that is too often overlooked is Puglia.
A Puglian destination wedding has it all with gorgeous Masseria’s, Puglian wine and glorious Italian cuisine. You are usually only a 10/15 minute drive to the local beach however most of the time you feel as though you are hours away from anything amongst the beautiful olive groves.
The South Italian wedding venue Masseria Torre Coccaro is perfect for a destination wedding, offering al fresco dining, accommodation and incredible Puglian food.
Our colour inspiration for this shoot came from the blue and white tiles around the venue along with Mediterranean citrus fruits so we brought in watercolour paper stationery for the day. We also wanted to create a table plan that felt natural and organic, so we used dried oranges for the guest names and table numbers hanging from the old olive tree.
Our bride wore a stunning Alexandra Grecco dress with a very simple modern look to contrast with the old Masseria and our groom wore a stylish suit along with a floral blue bow tie.
The white wooden tables were decorated with a white cheesecloth runner, gold elements such as candle holders, cutlery and blue & white patterned chargers. The favors were blue & white decorated biscuits that were made to look like tiles.
For the wedding cake, we used a traditional Italian millefoglie, with layers of custard cream, puff pastry layers and fresh fruits. We enjoy bringing in traditional delicacies like this as it’s always great for your guests to try fresh local food. We also booked a lovely little wine van perfect for serving your guests during cocktail hour.
