It’s amazing how much fun you can have planning a destination wedding together.
You get to build this amazing experience piece-by-piece; create your own exquisite work of art. And finally, when you’ve got it all just right, you get to invite your favourite people in the world to share it with you. It's an incredible experience you’ll only ever get to have once, and we wouldn’t want to deprive you of it.
So at Wonderlust Events, we’ll invite you to be a part of your destination wedding as we’re planning it. Anything complex, in-depth or tedious we’ll take care of. Any stress, we’ll absorb. Anything fun, interesting or exciting - cake tasting, menu sampling - we’ll set up and arrange for you so you can enjoy the experience as a couple.
And of course we’ll add in a whole heap of our own creative flair, style and imagination along the way. But ultimately, every choice, and every final decision on your destination wedding will be yours. We’ll educate you around the choices you’re making, so together we can deliberately craft the experience you’ve always imagined.
And when your destination wedding day arrives and you stroll through your reception hand-in-hand, you won’t see a day someone else made for you. You’ll see a day you poured your hearts into making your own, and a symphony of choices you made together.

Every great partnership begins with a conversation

Once you’ve filled out the contact form, we’ll get in touch and arrange a Zoom call for a time that suits everyone.
This’ll be a pressure-free chance for us to chat about your day, explore a few ideas, and make sure we’d make a good team. A few days later, we’ll come back to you with our bespoke proposal. We’ll expand on your ideas, incorporate all the different aspects from your brief, and show you a first draft of how we’d imagine your destination wedding to look and feel.
From there, the ball’s in your court. If we all get a good vibe from each other and you love our creative vision, all that’s left is the contract and deposit and we’re officially your destination wedding planners!
And if not, genuinely there’ll be no hard feelings. The most important thing is that you choose the right destination wedding planners for you. Whatever happens, if you need any advice further down the line, just shoot us an email and we’ll always do our best to help.
Complete transparency from the word ‘go’

Once you’ve booked with us, one of the first things we do is create a space for you on our online destination wedding planning platform. It’s called Aisle Planner, and it’s literally our wedding bible!
At any point during the process, you can log in and find everything laid out with complete transparency. Supplier contracts, guest lists, RSVPs, budget sheets, invoices, payment dates (always popular with your ‘Couple CFO’!).
We’ll always have a tight hold on your budget anyway. But there’s something deeply reassuring about being able to login at any time and see it all laid out in black and white!
Now for the fun bit…planning your destination wedding!

As destination wedding planners, the design element is where we come into our own.
From finding the perfect venue, to scouting florists, caterers, stationers, we’ll support you every step of the way. We’ll take the time to find people with the right talents to bring your vision to life, curate a shortlist for every choice, and guide you through making the right choice for you.
And if you’re not in love with any of them? No pressure, no drama. If they’re not perfect, we’ll keep looking.
But it's not just about making your destination wedding beautiful; we want to make it personal to you. So throughout the whole process we’ll be helping you think outside the box, and find fun, stylish ways to weave your love story into your day.
One of the biggest highlights of the destination wedding planning process…

Once you’ve chosen all the styling ‘main characters’ (florals, stationery, tablescape etc.), we’ll have professional illustrations made up for you of what your day will look like. And honestly, it’s rare for us not to get a ‘screaming with excitement’ voice note after we’ve sent it!
And the great thing is, once you’ve seen it all come together, we can fine-tune your day to perfection. When you’re besotted with every detail, we’ll share the final illustrations with all the suppliers to make sure they know exactly how everything is supposed to look on the day.
No room for error, no ‘lost in translation’, just…right.
Victory loves preparation

Planning a destination wedding timeline is an art in itself. Do it properly and you get the relaxed, streamlined, effortless day you’ve always dreamed of. Leave it to chance and it’s chaos! Luckily, we’re not ‘leave it to chance’ kinda people.
We’ll have a Zoom call with you both and get your timeline sorted way in advance. And we cover everything! From the obvious things (ceremony, photos, food). Right down to the finer details you might not even have thought about. For instance, what drink would you like waiting for you at the end of the aisle? Or would you like to escape the crowds and watch the sunset together?
For us it’s not just about making sure everything runs like clockwork. It’s a chance for us to share our years of experience (and hard-earned hindsight) with you, and help you plan the day that’ll make you happiest.
Once we’ve got everything locked in, we’ll send the final timeline to everyone-and-his-dog to make sure we’re all on the same page.
Your Happily Ever After
​
On the day, we’ll be your nuptial fairy godmothers, your guardian angels, and your wedding day bubble wrap all at once!
We’ll be at your venue first thing in the morning to catch all the suppliers arriving, oversee setup, and welcome your guests as they arrive. And we’ll stay with you until the bar’s been wiped clean and the chairs are on the tables!
From steaming dresses and straightening ties, to fielding questions, fixing problems and swatting away curveballs…we’ll work tirelessly to make sure you both have the best day of your lives, and an experience you’ll never forget, with nothing to think about but each other.
