COTSWOLDS
LUXURY COTSWOLD
We were honoured to plan our first Jewish destination wedding this year and what an amazing experience it was. We had an amazing couple who could talk us through everything and helped us learn every element of the day so it could run seamlessly.
With the wedding taking place at a stunning Cotswold venue for 170 guests at the end of September, we had to take into account the wet weather alternatives, as everything had to take place within the venue's grounds.
We brought in two marquees – a petal pole tent for the ceremony and a large clear framed marquee for the dinner. Our bride’s brief was to bring the outside in, so we focussed on bringing beautiful foliage elements into the marquee and using them throughout the day. The ceremony area felt like a beautiful forest inside the petal pole tent. A chuppah was made to look magical with tree branches and foliage, to create the natural structure under which their Rabbi could carry out their ceremony.
During the post ceremony reception, kosher canapés and drinks were served whilst guests gathered within the grounds. Following this, the guests made their way to the dining area, where a meadow of flowers greeted them as the table plan. Guests found their names within the meadow in little personalised envelopes with their table number tucked inside.
The tables were dressed in beautiful green linen on which whimsical flower centrepieces and tall ivory dinner candles brought the design together. The centrepieces were in off-white vases and were filled with tones of pink, chocolate and autumnal foliage, with branches to create height. Each place setting had a personalised place mat designed by an illustrator along with velvet pink bows tied around linen napkins to bring in a pop of colour to the tables. The guests dined under an entire ceiling of fairy lights whilst enjoying a three course menu.
For the entertainment, there was a live singer who performed through the ceremony and also for the Israeli dancing. The guests then enjoyed a 9 piece band who performed throughout the dinner and for the party element to get the atmosphere going. During the speeches a surprise performance by a South Africa Choir was organised for the Groom, bringing a huge amount of energy to the evening. They sang traditional South African songs and then performed ‘a circle of life’ from the Lion King which gave us all goose bumps.

Following the night of partying, the guests made their way to the basement for the after party and picked up their midnight snack of shish kebab and chips.
"Being a pandemic bride... Dealing with Holly made me excited about a wedding again"
Being a pandemic bride and having cancelled four weddings, I needed someone very special to help me plan a 5 week whirlwind wedding from scratch! Dealing with Holly made me excited about a wedding again. It felt like planning it with my best friend! She did several superwoman saves from finding a new marquee when they pulled out 10 days before to sourcing lights when the wrong lighting had been installed the day before the wedding day. More than that - she totally got my exact vision, translated it to vendors and could read my mind. Her little creative touches made a dreamy fairy tale for which I will be forever grateful!
