In picturesque Provence, where the lavender fields painted the landscape with shades of purple, Emily and Alex embarked on the journey that would celebrate their love. This splendid occasion was a destination wedding, meticulously crafted by their destination wedding planner, bringing together 80 of their dearest family and friends at the exquisite Chateau Martinay, a truly exceptional French wedding venue providing the perfect backdrop for their love story.

The celebration kicked off with a pre-wedding event that set the tone for the unforgettable days to come. Under the warm Provencal sun, guests gathered for a standing drinks reception, where a Gucci-inspired theme of white and pink toile de jouy tablecloths and golden lanterns enveloped them in an atmosphere of timeless elegance. As they savoured champagne and indulged in coquielette, a pasta delicacy served in a parmesan cheese wheel with truffle, a live singer filled the air with music that touched the soul.

The following day marked the pinnacle of their love story. Guests staying at the French wedding Chateau began the day with an alfresco breakfast, preparing for the magical moments that lay ahead. French design served as the cornerstone of the day, with blue and white toile de jouy fabric as the primary theme, complemented with blush, lilac, and white flowers.

The ceremony, a moment of pure love and commitment, unfolded along a long pine alley. An aisle adorned with flowers guided the way, leading to five urns of blossoms at the altar. A celebrant personalized the ceremony to Emily and Alex, infusing it with their unique love story, while a string quartet played Emily down the aisle, creating an atmosphere of pure enchantment.

After the ceremony, a drinks reception awaited at the back of their French wedding Chateau, providing a haven of comfort with sofa lounge seating areas and high tables. The quartet continued to serenade guests with Bridgerton-themed music, infusing the ambiance with classical beauty and romance.

The journey to dinner was a unique experience, where guests paused to witness the couple pouring champagne into a dazzling champagne tower. Each guest picked up their coupe of champagne and moved to the dining area, where heartfelt speeches and a sumptuous three-course Provencal meal awaited.

Dinner unfolded beneath a stretch tent, bedecked with a canopy of fairy lights, creating a magical and intimate space. Emily and Alex presided over the top table, their eyes filled with love and gratitude as they watched their guests dine on round tables. Blue and white toile de jouy tablecloths, floral centrepieces, soft pink dinner candles, scalloped gold and white charger plates, gold cutlery, crystal glassware, and knotted white napkins adorned each place setting, accompanied by a pink & white personalised menu neatly placed by their destination wedding planning team.

The pièce de résistance was the cutting of the Tarte Tropezienne, a French dessert that delighted the guests before they moved into the inner party room. Here, under the main chandelier, Emily and Alex shared their first dance, a moment that encapsulated the magic of their love. The night was fuelled with espresso martini shots, a saxophonist's soulful melodies, and the beats of the DJ, coaxing guests onto the dance floor.

A personalized neon sign above the bar added a unique touch to the celebration, serving as a cherished keepsake for the newlyweds. The skilled bartenders mixed a variety of cocktails that tantalized the guests' taste buds, keeping the party alive.

The celebration didn't end there. The following day, a hangover pool party awaited, complete with cool beats from the DJ, a wine truck, and a taco truck. The beautiful flowers from the wedding day were repurposed, adorning the pool area, where guests lounged in a scene that resembled a Slim Aarons masterpiece, capturing the essence of a love that had brought everyone together in the heart of Provence at their chosen French wedding venue.

THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL, CARE, AND COMMITMENT WAS SECOND TO NONE

We knew immediately after our first call with Holly that we had to have Wonderlust Events help us plan our wedding. It was clear from this very first call just how much Holly and her team cared about making our wedding celebrations as perfect as they possibly could have been, and this is something that never faltered throughout the year of working with them.

The attention to detail, care, and commitment shown to making our three day wedding celebrations absolutely incredible was second to none. We were never chasing for answers, never compromising on things we cared about, and had complete trust in Holly & her team's experience throughout. We truly felt like we were the only wedding that the team were working on (which most definitely was not the case!) which made the entire wedding planning process so much more enjoyable.

We had the most amazing three day wedding celebrations in Provence, and Holly and her team's help and INCREDIBLE organisation throughout the weekend meant that we were able to fully enjoy the entire experience and not worry for a second about suppliers, timings, or anything really!
