A&I’s wedding took place at Dewsall Court in Herefordshire, a new destination for us, where we had the pleasure of styling their wedding for 80 guests. The brief we were given was Soho House/The Pig Hotel so we loved the idea of giving the venue a flower and herb filled, wild garden vibe, with eccentric touches of mismatched glassware and personalised floral stationery.
The ceremony area was also the dining area, so it was important to give the floral elements the wow factor and ensure that they worked across both parts for the brief. Floor-based ceremony installations were brought in so that we could re-use to frame the dinner tables after the ceremony to create a garden feel.
An important feature of the Pig Hotel is all the aged plant pots, so we created a table plan that felt a little different, including terracotta pots with herbs and escort cards telling guests which table they would be on. Candlelight was another important factor to bring in that cosy, romantic feeling as you would expect from a boutique hotel with its roaring fire in the winter.
Tones of forest greens, burgundy, soft pinks and whites were the colour scheme of the day which brought both warmth and vibrancy. Twigs and texture were brought in to the flower arrangements to create something that felt quite different.
During dinner singing waiters had been organised, which created the most fun atmosphere with our guests swinging their napkins and our Bride Alice standing on a chair to sing along.
It was the most fun-filled romantic day, perfect for our A&I.

There are no words to describe just how wonderful Holly is…but I’ll give it a try. She is a total joy to be around and is a true professional.
She is beyond organised, she knows how to handle suppliers, families and guests (even the difficult ones), she’s thought of everything before you’ve even had chance to mention it, she has an eye for detail that is just amazing and she just gets it!
Its fair to say that before we met Holly, my husband was sceptical about the value in having a planner. Now he tells everyone about her and says our day wouldn’t have been half as amazing as it was if it wasn’t for Holly!
On the morning of our wedding she walked into the bridal suite and said to me “you’re so calm” and my response was “that’s because I know you have everything under control.” And it was true. Everything was seamless. Even our guests mentioned just how wonderful she was and how at ease she made everyone feel.
It’s the little things with Holly. The supportive texts in the lead up to the big day. The emails confirming everything is in hand. The 20 something page itinerary for suppliers confirming exactly where everyone and everything needs to be and when (I still dream about that amazing document!) She even boxed up our wedding cake to put in ours and our parents bedrooms as a midnight snack. She just thinks of everything.
The best part about this whole experience is not only did we get the wedding of our dreams, but we’ve gained a friend for life! We love you Hols xxx
