MASSERIA GRIECO
E&M held their destination wedding in the gorgeous countryside of Puglia, Italy, at Masseria Grieco. A beautiful venue made entirely of local stone. The day before the wedding, we held a pizza party in the evening along with a local gelato cart which provided that fun atmosphere that would carry on over the next few days. The day of the wedding arrived and the sun was beaming down. The colour scheme of this wedding was whites, blush, greys, coppers and pampas grass.
We worked with a catering team that brought so many fun yet local culinary moments to the day with their mozzarella making in front of the guests and antipasti food stations during the drinks reception. A piano and sax duo played during the reception with modern, jazz style covers.
We designed an edible seating plan for E&M’s guests. We used a packet of taralli per guest (taralli are small, unleavened bread rings that originate in Puglia) so guests could also take these away as favors from the wedding.
The guests dined on four long farmhouse tables for dinner, where they ate a 3 course Italian meal. Following this, E&M made their Millefoglie wedding cake in front of all their guests which provided a unique experience.
Crystal glass was used against soft linen grey napkins, while copper and blush menus with name cards adorned each guests place setting. After dinner the first dance and party was held in an area with a round stone dance floor where they partied the night away.
GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND
Where to begin… we had our dream wedding thanks to Holly, every detail planned for and so much more added by her creativity and ingenuity. From the day we started working together, everything was so well organised and removed the stress of creating our wedding abroad; it was the best decision we made! Planning a 3 day wedding abroad is no small feat, and Hollys experience shone through as we navigated all the complexities!
From sourcing the venue (including a very fun weekend together exploring Puglia) to walking us through all of our supplier options, we were always in safe hands as Holly brought our vision to life. Every idea was listened to and explored and we had such a fun time throughout. In the end we had 3 postponements thanks to the pandemic, but every time Holly rearranged the venue and suppliers at lightning speed and made the whole process so easy for us. We can only imagine how much work went into those moments, and are so grateful to have had Holly on our side to get us through to the end!
There’s one thing that we say to every couple we talk to about their wedding day - a wedding planner will allow you to enjoy every moment and make sure any wrinkles are sorted in the background. Holly goes above and beyond, keeping everything flowing and ensuring everyone is having the best day (especially us!).
