When we started planning R&S's wedding we were looking for a particular style lake in Europe. We searched for a lake that was remote, had a mountainous backdrop and one classified as a 'blue' lake.
After extensive research we found our client's dream lake in the Italian Alps - this lake is called 'Laghi Di Fusine', a blue jewel surrounded by a dark green forest with an Italian Alp backdrop. A wedding ceremony had never taken place here before so we had to ensure we contacted all the correct authorities to get approval and were delighted when it was all signed off. We weren't allowed to have any furniture at this ceremony so it became an organic standing ceremony at the side of the lake with the stunning views of the mountains. It was lovely and intimate with 20 guests attending from all over the world. The landscape of the mountains and the lake really produced the wow factor for this destination wedding. The celebrant Matjaz conducted a Celtic Tie ceremony which was very personal to R&S.
We love to think outside the box for our destination weddings so we replaced the usual flower petal confetti line with coloured smoke confetti canons for a fun, rainbow look as our couple crossed the bridge to their reception venue.
The reception took place in a cosy little restaurant down the road called 'Locanda Mandi'. An amazing vegan buffet of mains and desserts was served.
We decorated the wooden tables with eucalyptus for our Australian bride and incorporated lavender coloured linen napkins along with minimalist modern stationery and textured muted pillar candles for a soft, warm look.

Holly is the reason our wedding turned out better than we ever imagined. She listened to all of our ideas and helped us bring our fantasy wedding to life. She was patient, supportive, helpful, and thorough. She was able to organise our wedding on Laghi di Fusine, a place that had never had a wedding before, found all the suppliers, and coordinated the events of the day. We had the most fantastic day and having Holly there to organise and support us meant everything went off without a hitch.
Most people tell us about the stress of their wedding (especially destination weddings) and things going wrong, but we didn't experience any of that and that's because of Holly's hard work. 10/10 would recommend!
